Description:

After years as an entrepreneur (I’m the inventor of Blondies) and as a business advisor, I joined my wife Karen’s growing financial organizing practice, Personal Money Manager™ in 2012.  This was a shift from advising business owners to working with seniors to help solve their paperwork challenges and take pressure off of their family members .

As a financial organizer / daily money manager, I help with everything paper-related from the day-to-day to the unique.  The first includes managing the incoming mail, paying the bills, and maintaining critical insurance coverages.  I interface with clients’ other trusted advisors – attorneys, insurance brokers and financial advisors – explaining, simplifying and helping get things done.

The “unusual” projects have generally involved major repairs to the house or property, working with contractors to represent the client’s interests. Two examples:  replacement of the main water line; and finding and monitoring the contractors during a major asbestos and mold abatement project in the lient’s home.

I developed my organizational, problem-solving and people skills during a career as a business owner; a business advisor; and as a certified Professional in Human Resources (emeritus).  To jump-start my knowledge of seniors and their needs, I studied for and obtained the designation of Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® in 2010, and maintain it with continuing coursework and periodic recertification.

My work with senior clients is a way of honoring my parents, who lived long (99 and 93 years) and fruitful lives helping others.  I look forward to speaking with you.

For Everyone’s Safety During the Pandemic:

Personal Money Manager™ has resumed working with clients in their homes.  We are fully vaccinated and ask that our clients be, too.  We continue to wear face masks and ask clients to do so also.  (We always carry extra masks with us – and bring and use hand sanitizer and wipes.).

We request that windows in our work area be opened for additional air circulation, when possible.  Before heading out to a client’s home for an appointment, we will call to confirm that everyone is symptom-free.
